Activities The project activities can be divided into different categories. Those highlighted in this section include classroom activities by middle school students, field trips by middle-school students, and training activities for project participants. Contents of selected classroom activities are provided in the section on Lesson Plans and Units. Work geared towards disseminating project activities is highlighted in the section on Dissemination.
Miscellaneous training activities In addition to the week-long summer workshops, there are several ongoing training sessions during the academic year. These are usually led by project participants. For instance, a middle school teacher may train faculty and Fellows on how to prepare lesson plans and units. A faculty member may conduct refresher training on inquiry-based instruction or the use of CBLs. More often, Fellows share their classroom activities and experiences with other Fellows. |
